"On the day of the wedding, I had every confidence in Sonja. One of Sonja's strengths is that I feel she stays very much in the background, but if you look at the photos, you can see that she was there everywhere and that nothing escaped her. Speaking of the photos, they are exactly as we had hoped and actually much more beautiful! The compositions, alternating use of color and black and white, use of light and capturing small intimate moments of both us ( the bridal couple) as well as our guests. We are very happy that we asked Sonja as our wedding photographer and with the beautiful photos she took, we still enjoy our beautiful day very often. In addition, it was also very nice that 5 (!) days after our wedding we already got a small sneak peak of a number of photos. Thank you Sonja!"

My day begins and ends with photography. Not that I carry a camera around all day, but with everything I see, I see how I can capture it. It starts with the first rays of light that enter the kitchen in the morning when I prepare the packed lunches.
I'm a real morning person, and I prefer to get up when the world is still quiet and everyone is still asleep. Especially if this male household is still on one ear, then I enjoy the silence and the view from my house in Haarlem.
I've been following a creative path all my life and after rediscovering photography in 2019 it feels like coming home. I can fully use my creativity during my own projects. But while shooting a wedding I enjoy that extra special moment that I get to be a part of.
